Well, I mean, you could still listen to Paul Oakenfold while guessing someone’s password on numerous monitors.
It was my sad revenge as a consumer who felt duped. I might have felt altruistic when I pressed that publish button, but it was a selfish decision meant only to make myself feel a little better.
AGREED. I am sensitive and don’t like surprises, and pranks just piss me off. I don’t DO them because I assume they will piss other people off and don’t want to do that either.
I once switched my mom’s cell phone ringtone to the Mexican Hat Dance. Hilarious prank, right up until it went off during a meeting she was in. I got read the riot act for that one.
A prank is when I turn my husband’s sat radio to an EDM station and turn the volume up so that when he starts his car in the morning, it’s bass thumping techno.
The people who like “prank” videos are the same people who howl with laughter over those “blooper” videos where people fall off cliffs or skyrocket off their bike face first into a lighted BBQ or whatever. Total sociopaths.

I will have put a discreet tag on it that says $4,500 - like small enough I might have not noticed it; or make up a story about how it was…
There was a turning point in season 3 or so where Jim has all his “pranks” read back to him by HR and it motivates him to move to a different branch for a season.
Pranks should be surreal, not cruel.
“Pranks” are the socially acceptable way to get away with abuse.
I hate the word “prank”.
Real or staged, abuse is not a joke. I don’t know if it is this guy or some other jerk, but it was a similar shtick where he pretended that their child was critically injured or dead.
People who like to prank are good. They’re letting you know up front that they value their amusement more than your autonomy and dignity as a person.
