Such a marriage wouldn’t work for me and my husband. He is disabled. Where is the provision for us? Your God doesn’t seem to care about people in situations where such a rigid model doesn’t fit at all. We’d be starving and homeless if I had to submit to my husband and stay at home rather than work. Thank goodness we

Even if he were fired rather than not renewed, they could easily obscure the real reasons with ones that aren’t illegal, and it would fall on them to prove that it was actually for illegal reasons, which is quite hard to do.

My husband is disabled and is the homemaker of the family. We only socialize in secular contexts, but people can’t seem to comprehend that I work and he stays at home for good, legitimate reasons. I can’t imagine how much worse that lack of comprehension and/or hostility to difference exists in religious contexts.

I love Kryolan for a lot of things, but I’ve bought their full-sized lipstick and it is super not that great: Dry, not very pigmented, and hard to work with. I ended up melting it down to mix with another lipstick and that worked okay.

They seem to be all out of BBs ):

See also: CRV. When I was a cashier, I had a customer argue with me that the cheap, terrible beer he bought ought to be even cheaper because he had “never heard” of CRV and that Target never “charged” it.

Yiiiiiikes. I’m sorry, teenage you ):

Eyeshadow, at least for me, was the trickiest thing to learn as far as non-basic looks go. A basic look would be a shade just a tad lighter or darker than your natural lid color applied with a fluffy brush just on your lids and only up the crease. That’s a fairly foolproof look.

My mom asked me if I needed Pro-Active. I got about 6-8 zits a month AT MY WORST and they weren’t very big or whatever.

I don’t do it despite wanting to even though it wouldn’t be at all appropriation because I hate the way white folks talk to me when I do. Loud voices and long-drawn-out syllables and bizarre assumptions about my dancing skills. In more “Western” clothes I read biracial or racially ambiguous, which is better than being

There’s like a million cuts and styles for kurtas, not a single one. I’ve had ones that look realllllly similar to that one before.

Petition to end the use of the word “tan” to mean a specific skin color or tone. It’s not any one color.

“Crinkle Longline Shirt” = white people kurta. I’m gonna be over here laughing about how many unwanted ones my mom used to get me for $5 each (and how many I got rid of because jfc does it make people think I don’t speak English for me to dress like that?!).

So, don’t hate me, but I tried Kirkland’s gin for the heck of it (and I figured I could return it, no questions asked, if it sucked) and it turned out to be quite good. I prefer to it to Bombay Sapphire for an everyday sort of gin.

Elizabeth Smart talks a lot about this very thing.

On the more expensive end, I use Fresh’s Black Tea Age Delay Cream (not the lotion, which is okay but too light to do very much for me) on my cheeks when they’re really bad; at $95, it’s a splurge, but I use very little since it’s just on my problem spots so it lasts a while. It’s Fresh’s Seaberry Oil (which has a

“The rest is bullshit created to separate you from your money.” seemed pretty extreme of a statement to me, thanks for clarifying.

I am a huge believer in mixing brands and products, especially in using multiple moisturizers on combination skin rather than trying to find a single combination-skin moisturizer. When my skin went from greasy all over to greasy t-zone and rosacea-dry cheeks and jawline, I tried so hard to find something that didn’t

I lived more puritanically than that before and I still got hella zits, so.

I hope she has as awesome of a time as Rani does (the movie is delightful and available on Netflix, fyi).
