I see we have a new front runner for Jezebel racist troll commander. Welcome. Please complain more about how white people have it rough (on a website) because black people won't shut up about racism. Your schtick is tired.

So does California not *sell* the water to Nestle? Is it literally just that they've granted them access to the water to sell as they see fit (I presume there are regulations on how the water is collected and manufactured but not a price on the resource itself)?

In high school, every senior class would line up on bleachers and get their picture taken for the yearbook. The day of our class picture I was out sick with a stomach bug, but I decided I wasn’t going to miss out, so I dragged myself into school in time for the picture.

Plastic doesn't recycle well. Plastic bottles get "downcycled" and turned into things like fleece and doormats which do not get recycled at the end of their usefulness and end up in landfills. Even more commonly, plastic bottles get shipped to poorer countries or end up on the ocean.

Sorrynotsorry, but please stop. Buy a reusable water bottle. Reasons:

Yes!

The article title is so misleading. I thought her husband didn't want to reuse plastic water bottle at all. But in fact, she got at least 18 bottles around the house and she even objected when he said to buy a new, real water bottle to use.

I'm with your husband on this: get an actual reusable water bottle. Better for your wallet and MUCH MUCH better for the environment.

Um, this is entirely unreasonable. Buy one good water bottle that is suitable for reuse and use it forever. Stop buying water bottles. You are indeed a wasteful monster. Make an effort to change your habits because you are clearly in the wrong. You create this problem. Solve it yourself.

Team husband on this one!! Also saving those plastic bottles and reusing them cause cause chemicals to get into the water. Get a kleen canteen and bring water with you :)

This is like going for a high-five and missing. ;)

My brother was the result of an unplanned pregnancy. My mom was pretty upfront about it, but in a kind way. That still didn’t stop me as a kid from tormenting my brother over it.

I don’t know about this study in particular, but a lot of the reporting on synthetic estrogens in the water omits the fact that birth control is only responsible for a tiny fraction of the problem- far more is coming from livestock and agriculture.

I'm only interested if B.D. Wong has a starring role.

Reminder to casting: there are literally over a billion of us East Asians. JUST FYI.

LET'S GET DOWN TO BUS-INESS...

Because they know a lot of customers simply won't care and they'll fall back on the "we were assured it wasn't slave labor blah blah blah."

It's the same way that many people can know that - consistently and over at least a decade - Gap/Old Navy/H&M contracts their clothing out to sweatshops forcing Cambodian women to

Right. And I find him boring and not all that funny. Hence The Daily Show, the one stable element in my tumultuous life for over a decade, is going to be fundamentally changed to something I probably won't enjoy. But yeah, I guess that's too dramatic so LET'S GO BACK TO TALKING ABOUT HOW HANDSOME HE IS LOLOLOLOLOL

I've seen his TDS bits. I've watched some of his standup. He's very charming and has a strong voice, but I don't find him to be very dynamic.

His bits on TDS were not only few in number, but also fucking terrible and boring.
