That’s from Himself, which also includes the bit about natural childbirth, which pops into my head every time someone I know has a kid. There are a lot of bits from that used in the early seasons of The Cosby Show.

The existing Squid Game show isn’t THAT smart. It’s not dumb, but it’s obviously not so super highbrow to prevent it from becoming one of Netflix’s biggest ever hits.

Agreed. He really was that funny. To this day, I am mad at how much of his comedy lives rent free in my head. It does so because it was damn good comedy. If he hadn’t turned out to be a rapist piece of shit, he would be top 5 on this list, I guarantee it.

It’s like he saw the JGL episode of Poker Face and took it as a suggestion rather than a cautionary tale.

If memory serves (and please correct me if I misread this), WGA and SAG-AFTRA have basically agreed not to cross each other’s picket lines if one reaches an agreement before the other. So even if this is an acceptable deal, the AMPTP will have to also reach a deal with the actors if they want to get things moving.

Well, LAST century.

And even then, most theme hotels actually have rooms that are nice and comfortable.

Yes, that very woke electricity from (checks notes) Oklahoma.

When I read the book first time when I was in high school, this was the one part that actually scared me.

If you really think about it, ALL water sources are basically some form of waste water. Where do you think all those marine animals leave their excretions?

I was doing a research project on Dracula in popular culture a while back, which meant I was watching a lot of film adaptations of the novel. In that process, I watched both the English and Spanish versions of the 1931 Dracula. (The Spanish version was shot on the same sets using a translated version of the same

As someone who was absolutely in love with this movie when it came out when I was a teenager, I totally agree that it should not be top of this list. It might deserve to be ON the list, but not at the top.

I dated a beer lover and home brewer in the mid-00s, when the hop craze was taking off. The one thing that always kept me from drinking beer was hops. He desperately wanted to find a beer I’d drink with him, but at the time, it was nigh impossible. Pretty much the only thing I could tolerate was Belgian sours (which

I am actually what doctors would probably define as “healthy overweight.” All the heart indicators in my blood and other tests are normal, and I am not (currently) a diabetes risk. So there would be no really good reason for me to take it right now apart from just losing extra pounds. But that is really good to know.

You’re far more generous than I in assuming they think at all.

The unfortunate catch is that these rednecks (which I feel comfortable calling them after seeing those sunburns) probably sincerely believe they are the bullied ones and that they were just standing up for themselves. 🙄

Let me know once we get weight loss drugs who work through a healthy means that isn’t “making you feel sick most of the time.” I’m overweight, and it would be nice to drop some pounds, but a state of constant nausea is not an appealing way of making that happen. (Yes, I exercise and watch what I eat. Middle age is a

Scott is a very good director. He knows what he’s doing behind the camera and working with his editors/cinematographers, but I don’t really consider him to have some distinct visual/filmmaking style that makes a movie a “Scott film” like one might say about Steven Spielberg or Wes Anderson.

Scott’s directing CV is a lot more of a mixed bag than I think people want to remember it as being. He directed two of the best sci-fi movies in the canon (Alien and Blade Runner), and so he’s been elevated to this Super Director status. Yes, he’s got some other bangers under his belt: Thelma & Louise, The Martian, Gla
