I just hate all the mouse clicking.

I can't figure it out either and I hate all the clicking you have to do because so few comments show up at a time.

I never posted with the old comment system and I'm not sure how it worked. All I know is that with the new comment system the quality of the comments at gawker has gone way, way down.
