That’s true. It was Bernie trying to get the people who didn’t already like him vs. Hillary trying to get the people who had already decided they didn’t like her.

Again, that is assuming that most voters read deeper into things than “I like him/her” and I think that’s not true in a lot of cases. Certainly enough so that the visceral dislike people have/had for Clinton was a bigger negative than worrying about what the geniuses in the Trump campaign could do to go after someone…
I don’t know for certain Sanders would have won either but I think we were watching different elections if you think a careful evaluation of the nominees policy platforms was the big issue.
Liking someone and voting for someone are two different things. Like you yourself note, you can like Sanders but think Clinton was the more pragmatic choice. In fact, I probably fall into that camp. Likewise turnout organizations and money influence vote totals in addition to likability.
That depends on what you mean by “the beginning of the election”
Because he wanted to tie her to Wall Street which is still a pretty popular thing to do post-housing crisis and, given her relationship with Wall Street, was fairly easy. Also, someone’s speaking engagements aren’t something you can learn simply by watching them so it’s an actual piece of information that sheds light…
Hey, here’s another fun question. What do Kennedy and Obama also have in common? They won.
Yeah, I’m guessing the people who really liked Bernie Sanders would have really flipped out once they found out the very well hidden secret that he was Jewish.
I don’t think that’s how it works though. If they announce Dylan as the winner and he declines I don’t think they would just go down to the next name on their list(which would kind of be insulting to whoever that is).
As progressives we have literally hundreds upon hundreds of things to give him shit for. The efficacy of his campaigning is maybe the one thing in the world not on that list.
The basement dwelling Goth was Richmond, not Richard.
Yeah, fuck the trolls and everything but it’s not a great special. It really felt like she was paid via a bonus structure that kicked in whenever she made a drunk girl in the audience yell “Woo!”
I think there’s a good and a bad use of the word Authentic as it relates to food. The good side of it, at least to me, is a sort of objection to how people talk about certain types of regional cuisines. I have no problem with an American pub saying they serve “Irish food” and then having things like Fish and Chips or…
I feel really bad that brilliance of that sort is bound to be unappreciated because it’s a response to my three day old post and because roughly 1 in 100,000 people will get it.
My Baby’s heart has two-step authentication required.
I wonder in a situation like that is it better to get both at once or would you rather it be done separately? Both at once kind of seems like you’re being ganged up on but then one after the other could be pretty bad too.
The appropriate way to refer to three people in a romantic relationship together is a “triad.”
Yeah, he should move on no argues. I just thought of funny ways to describe getting dumped by two people at once and wanted to contribute.
Some people react badly to getting dumped. Most of us never have to go through getting dumped in stereo.
I really feel like we need to understand both points of view on a story like this. For the black student, it’s understanding what months of harassment and racist attacks can do to the psyche of a young person.
