Not sure why you think it's odd. It's fairly standard to compare comparable tasks across platforms and since the hardware is fairly comparable it's not grossly unfair or slanted. Ultimately it doesn't mean much and is unlikely to sway anyone towards android if they were using it as a tiebreaker.
