More than likely, the studios are going to greenlight a lot of things to make up for the drought of content caused by the strikes. IMO the bigger problem is that a lot of workers will be (and have already been) forced out of the industry to look for other jobs, because most people don’t have enough savings to survive…

If the thinking was “no one’s going to look at some background characters who are on screen for two seconds”, then these studio folks are way out of touch. Audiences now are so eagle eyed and more than willing to slow down, pause and rewind movies looking for something they can roast the shit out of on the internet.
