It’s funny that you stopped at the 70's.

I mean yeah he obviously did it. He used sexualized images of his own daughter in his videos.
Does this really surprise anyone - me thinks not.
Can’t say that I’m surprised. The creepy obsession with underage girls that a lot of rockers of the 50's, 60's, and 70's had is all too well known. Hell, they all used to write songs about underage girls. He seems to be perfectly in the creepy kid-fucker demographic of rock and roll. I can see a mistake if a girl…
So looking forward to the very public break up of Timmy and that relative of an amateur porn star
Dude I don’t think smoking weed in college and listening to Tupac is uncommon or noteworthy
Try That In A Small Town, But Not With Me Specifically, Please.
Was it not Woody Guthrie who had “This machine sells drugs, kills people and uses women as worthless nothings” inscribed onto his guitar?
I thought the Rednecks had declared themselves the moral majority? Isn’t that the point of his song? (I really don’t know. It’s a terrible song. I can’t get past the first few notes before I close the tab.)
I’m familiar with the idea that many rappers were or claim to have been drug dealers. I’m less clear on what any of those people on that list have to do with the democratic party or liberalism in general. I just don’t see fellow liberals “gaging on their cocks.” Maybe I’ve been going to the wrong meetings.
Now when we apply that same problem to Jesus Christ, a funny thing happens.
No one got cancelled.
“I suppose if you actually sold drugs, killed people, and used women as worthless nothings, you’re in the clear and the left will absolutely gag on your cock for decades”
You’re on a news aggregator website. They cribbed off of the news (well...Variety) and we dick about in the comments.
There are not many more “American” acts than using an MLK quote out of context to make a point... a point with which he’d have either vehemently disagreed or felt was a gross misrepresentation of his actual statements.
Since she’s so well versed in King’s words and legacy, I wonder how Amy missed his Letter From Birmingham Jail. Or literally anything he said about Vietnam.
I think there are valuable lessons to be learned by listening to brilliant minds from the past like MLK. The problem is that a lot of people aren’t interested in actually studying their words. They’re just looking for a famous name to prop up their beliefs.
Schumer shared a (obviously old) video clip of Martin Luther King Jr.
Love to see Karen Schumer whitesplaining MLK to everyone.
