The Shield is actually a pretty nice device. You can stream your PC games on it (if you have a recent Geforce), it's pretty damn powerful and perfect for emulators. It has HDMI out and it can even be used with an external a gamepad. So you could connect it to your TV and play with a gamepad. I wish my 3DS had that!
