Millions of dollars, personal chef, personal trainer, nannies, personal assistants, constant access to makeup/hair people…
Aww. I think 'you are clearly going to get yourself killed' is more fun.
Yeah, I only meant that it would have been very out of character for him to destroy the research, and I think this is a better show than that, but you never know…
I saw the last few minutes of the episode a little differently, and I wonder what you (our favorite Fritz-chronicler) think:
Initially I was a little annoyed at the way Fitz seemed to immediately respond with jealousy at the conclusion of Simmons' recollection. But rather than thinking that Fitz showed Simmons his…
I'm here for it. Also, can we get a karaoke night for Kara and Winn (mostly for Winn)?
I wasn't trying to be condescending. It was a knee jerk reaction, and not a particularly clever one, but I'm not a moron.
True, but this kid is like 5 months old now. It is the only kid on my feed to not finally get to that 'I'm kinda cute' phase. It doesn't even do anything cute to distract me either.
You've articulated all of this so well! I actually thought of the Atwood quote after last week's episode, but I think it applies here too. I think the female characters on this show are fantastic.
You're welcome! It was such a familiar scene to me (heading over to the barre all sleepy eyed at 6:50am!) that it never occurred to me that it might strain credibility for some folks. I'm glad I was able to shed some light.
One of my favorite birthday memories is going to a Beastie Boys concert years ago and having the whole crowd sing 'Happy Birthday' because today is also Adam Yauch's birthday. I pretended they were singing to both of us.
It was bugging me too! I was trying to remember the actor's name, but then I gave up and was just trying to remember where I'd last seen her..
I definitely agree, and the word 'expectation' is a really good one to use for getting at why the writing for this show feels sharp and interesting-they seem to have a good sense of managing expectations. Sure NYC does have this air of 'anything can happen, it's a big city' kind of feel to it, but many folks are…
She's also on 'Sleepy Hollow' too, playing a similarly world-weary type.
There was a brief moment in the episode where either the USA logo or one of the hashtags lined up perfectly along the edge of a police car, and I giggled.
A few stray things:
The sublet we were going to move into for 6 weeks until our new apt. is ready suddenly fell through-and we're moving on Friday!
General hints, if you don't mind:
I think I'm going to have to go with 'Aerobics Meltdown'. I haven't seen all of the episodes, I tend to catch them here and there, but for me this sketch ended up being exactly what I love about Key and Peele-it's dark and absurdist and somehow slightly funny as well.
We shoulda draxxed them sklounst instead of fireboarding those motherjammers.
