@Riff-Raff: It's up on Hulu right now. It will only be up through January it looks like -

@MrEvil: What I remember is long before the Tolan's shared their advanced technology they had destroyed the biodiversity of their planet. So they lived in a stable world, but one empty of all life but them.

This is going to sound, well, nerdy, but I remember and episode of SG-1 once where they meet a group of humans who have completely killed all the animal life on their planet. These aliens are blown away when they see a living bird.

@mipakr: Thanks much. I feel quite better now. It's really amazing how long the shock headline can go on after a real answer is known.

Ok, not even a little funny anymore. Someone explain this with science please, 'cause this is freaking me out.

No films about the prophesied army of zombies that will rise and wage war. I mean, with source material like that, how can they resist.

@DouchieSnacks: Yes, but in most of the previous generation if there was an out burst of uncontrolled violence the worst that would happen is one tribe of ape-men would wipe out another

V is only in it's second season? It feels like it's been on the air for a much longer time. Did they take one of those really long breaks?

@storymark: Though he might still hold the rights he's made a blanket statement that people can do pretty much whatever they want with the stories because he doesn't care about them anymore. That's what I meant by washed his hands.

@MonkeyT: I don't see a lot of range in the rolls you listed. Sure, Nell was good, but there is nothing in the other two films that really equals range to me. She was just in two different genres.

@Excalibur: He also signed a lot of those contracts with DC a long time ago when all writers were getting screwed over.

@atrus123: Only that you're awesome. I have a Jodi Forester problem (I don't like one note actors) but I can put that aside for the best film about science to reach the general public in two generations.

@John_Hazard: Actually Alan Moore long ago washed his hands legally of everything he wrote for DC, I'm sure that includes stuff like this.

@RedXIII: I think it's about time for a 'Batteries Not Included' revival.

@Reavyn: Though it is awesome, there is a very negative way to look at it - films are so horrible at portraying science that they had to look that far back to fill out the 'good' list.

@Wolfsheim: There was no need to talk about dear Dr. Banzai as everyone knows the film was just a docudrama about real events in the history of the institute.

@akacrash: "serious' film where he was a mall cop"
