@zegota: He also wrote for Fringe, which gets much io9 love. So I think he's pretty much neutral in this issue.

I trust Howard (sure he's had some duds, but over all his resume is pretty kick-ass) a lot more than I trust Abrams.
The first half of that synopsis makes me want to watch Lost Boys.
@VioletArrows: Which is why in an ideal society we give government support to people in this situation, so they can transition to new work.
@ParryLost: Well, you did make the point (that from a logical standpoint is very sound) that companies should be given other incentives, like better research and development and a more educated workforce to stay; with the idea that it will equal long term profits. @bug: Maybe I'm just biased against the film. I tried to read the book it was based on, hoping to get something deeper than the film experience. The dedication in the front of the book said "Drugs killed my brother, this book is about how drugs kill people."
@mannequin: Only if you try to claim all your wives as legal wives. There are some states that have laws against this kind of polygamy, but not all of them.
@wendigo69: Everything I know about the Northern Territores I've learned from this man.
@Ken: As much as I still don't really like the film (I just can't bring myself to like it) I think everyone should watch it, if only so I can talk to them about it. It's very worth seeing.
@andrew01g: Should they have done it? No.
