I guess it was, at one point, Picross DS. But then when the 3DS Picross games weirdly cut down on puzzle complexity, 3D Picross 2 became my new go-to.

The other two endings are more engaging, but one involves hunting down certain . . . boss figures . . . which is quite enjoyable.

My impression of Kiwami 1 is that they took this bare-bones game and tried to flesh it out with side stories and activities, which have populated most of the series. I cannot say for sure that there were no side stories and activities in the original game (I did play it . . . 15 years ago . . .), but as I’m playing Y3…
