Tangentially, I remember (but could be wrong) that Mario 64 was the first time “Princess Toadstool” was referred to as Peach.

Equally disturbing is the people who wanted it gone.”

But . . . the argument isn’t that they’re not weird. Weird isn’t a problem.

Congratulations, you just described the horror genre.

Not sure what you mean. Ito’s stories aren’t known for their complicated plots.

While I don’t necessarily want a Telltale Games Junji Ito-penned game, I think they could probably adapt his aesthetic really well. (Well, “could have adapted,” I guess, since they’re kind of sort of not around now.)

Kojima desperately needs a cowriter to rein in his worst impulses. Junji Ito? He’s a great creator. Not sure his talents would fit video games, but I’d be interested in giving him a shot.

Dude, check out isthereanydeal-dot-com. Literally every day.

Nothing turns me away from a game quicker than “roguelike.” I’m not even against random generation levels in games. I just have no interest in games that flaunt this as a major selling point.

So it looks like FFXV but . . . darker. Ugh.

Not bothered by this in the slightest. Granted, I don’t play on consoles. I just wait for good deals, which are literally every day. Right now, Fanatical has this 10-games-for-$5 offer, some of which are crap but some of which are actually worthwhile. Hard to complain.

Well, certainly none of the Mario games to follow Sunshine needed this mechanic. Of course, Galaxy had the twirl, which was another jump-correction mechanic, and 3D land/world had the raccoon tail.

Words have more than one definition, kiddo. Notice how it says “1" at the head of the definition you cherrypicked? That means there is more than one, and you’re choosing the wrong one because your entire position relies on defining one word the way you want rather than what I actually mean. What a shit excuse for

How is this alternate reality worth discussing right now?

“if you say the plot is nonsense that means”

I can understand it, and it’s still “language, conduct, or an idea that is absurd or contrary to good sense,” i.e. nonsense. It’s like you think words only have one meaning, and if they have more than one, it has to be the meaning you like best regardless of what the other person means.

This is a great story. So whether intended or not, the first B in your name is silent.

Bring out the “wahhhh censorship!!!” chuds.

He’s encouraging extrajudicial killings, sterilizing women in concentration camps, and letting a pandemic run rampant, but at least he showed those Bushies a thing or two!
