Because rearward visibility is for pussies.

Das Boot! Sorry but the thing is a tank. All it's missing are the panzer tracks and some artillery. Hey, now there's how to get dads into minivans....

Meh. I'd rather have a real Hilux.

Rear seat headrests look a skosh taller. I wonder how much the interior will vary. I might have missed it if you've covered that part already.

In the US, Smart Fourtwo is the functional equivalent of the MacBook Air. It appeals to elitist, fashion conscious urbanites. It's overpriced for the level of power and practicality it offers. And it's over-hyped.

A good car for car sharing fleets in big cities for sure. But until Smart puts out a model with a second row of seats it's just not gonna take off here. This model is going to be relegated to niche uses. Not that that's a bad thing. Just like with alternative fuel technologies, there is no silver bullet. We need more

@Meat Farley: For takin' retards to the zoo in of course.

Saw a brand new 3 yesterday and I thought it was a 5 at first. Definitely has developed a bloated look.

The Pilot is sorta passable in comparison to that Toyota AT whatever abomination. Just barely.

@Rust-MyEnemy: Very true. Most of the time these concepts are far too extreme for being a real sales getter, like the Hurricane. What's really chaffing though is when realistic concepts like the Gladiator get oh so very close to production then some asshat exec squashes it. Fortunately it looks very possible that some

Blindspots that can swallow double trailer semis. I thought Toyota was big on safety?

    GM followed by Jaguar.

We had a small brood of Possums that liked to nestle into my Dad's old Chrysler Aspen. We got in the habit of popping the hood and checking for signs of nesting every time we took it out. Nasty critters they are.

Jeep needs a truck again. Oil burnin' Gladiator, mofos. Do it now!

Bond on Xmas? Sounds better than Yule logs in HD over carols!

How much of a nerd am I that I recognized the make and model of both of the RC cars? Sad indeed. Though I was baffled by the Moonraker on Boxing Day reference.

@ash78: The price at the pump may accelerate that mindset change. At least I hope. Yeah diesel is high too, but in the long run some of my dollars (for what those are worth these days?) are on diesel having more economically sound alternatives than gas will.
