It has to be my Wrangler. It is purely function, no form. Aerodynamic profile of a block of wood and no appealing curves or angles. Some (most?) will likely disagree with me, but I think it's about as beautiful as an A-10 Warthog. Ain't nothin' wrong with that!

@monkeyboy04: Seriously? If some deadbeat is too far back on his 'vintage' Explorer payments, you really think he's going be versed in the laws? Even if he is, he's not likely to be working hard to stay within them.

Moreover, repo guys, check that back seat first! I know repo men have to work fast for their own safety, but geez, hop out of the cab and take a peak.

@X-Zambian: Unless you actually need to tow something. Yeah sure most won't tow with these, but Chrysler needs to offer the capability to stay competitive. And per electric motor see @bobash's comment.

@Euromobile: Why does it matter? You should spend all your time with it in the driver's seat anyway.

As a reader of both, I graciously offer myself up as a volunteer to bravely straddle the line and test drive it on behalf of both sites.

@danio3834: How to make danio3834 squirm in pain: make him drive a clean diesel hybrid.

Bitter? Just a smidge. Sorry, need more coffee.

Geez Murilee, you couldn't find a more depressing and uninspiring subject, could you? People who complain that driving through states like Kansas is boring have never taken the 5 up & down California. What a drag. The only thing sadder is that so little of that scenery has changed in nearly 20 years. And, oh goody,

This asshat's post made it all over the place yesterday. I tried finding his other posts in order to surmise the apparent ongoing feud of pointless stupidity but it appears the original poster has since been booted. I guess if you post something so moronic that resulting internet phenomenon DoS's the server, then

Does it have to still be drivable when done?

FWIW, my car insurance co gives us a multiple car discount. Though if they knew of my secret desire to learn how to do power slides and burn outs they'd probably rethink it.

Heh, maybe y'all shouldn't have kicked all the four door cars out of the JFG. Maybe the Rambo Lambo would work then....

@FreeMan: Probably not far off. I read the other day that the blinker noise on my Grand Cherokee is actually simulated. Since there's no flasher/relay in the traditional sense the damn thing just plays a simulated clicking noise. So I suppose simulating a V8 rumble ain't too hard to comprehend.

I'm really getting a bad taste in my mouth these days over those big ol plastic covers. Though with the amount of proprietary programming and untouchable controls now, manufacturers need to start printing "No user serviceable parts inside" on those things.

@UDMAN: True, but it's still selling out.

With M5 and M6 already in use, would the M series on these then be the MX5 and MX6? Please, let's not dilute the M's anymore!

@squablow: Booth babes and this Mercury campaign? Booth are signs of marketing desperation. Sort of the 'hail mary' of marketing tactics. It says,'We don't know how to appeal to your intelligence so we'll just take the low road and smother you with boobs'.

@Tocsin: Dude, get me a ticket to SEMA and I'll be your new best friend. Just ignore the fact that I'm already married and stuff.

They've had problems with the canoes around Tom Sawyer island sinking too.
