She's awesome!!! :D

What songs should I listen to so I can be convinced of their greatness? I don't really see it as much as everyone else does - I want to understand it though.

^^I think the whole thing about them is that to haters, they're kind of inexplicably popular and uncool.
The whole Viva album is fantastic though - "Lovers In Japan" particularly. (The full version of Life in Technicolor isn't bad either.)

I like these guys. Like the band Mumford & Sons would have been if they didn't get too big too fast, and I mean that in a good way (I'll still go to bat for their first album).

"Love Me Like You Do" and "Earned It" RULE. I don't even like the Weeknd but he killed it with that song. (shout out to Vaults as well bc I felt like their album was slept on when it came out last year).

^Same here

Cinefix, Lindsay Ellis, and Folding Ideas are all genuinely insightful channels, and a great antidote to Cinema Sins and its brethren.
Lindsay in particular has come a long way since being the "Nostalgia Chick" - her analysis of why Rent's movie fails is masterful, especially her ending.

I'm picturing Kronk.

He's far from the worst offender though - the Brian Eno article was pretty great.

Who nose.

I can't find the link to the original post with that quote (it's both cool and depressing that I've been around this site long enough to recognize that reference)

Y'all complain about the lack of a great music section and then don't comment here.
Fantastic piece.

Agreed - this book sounds legitimately fantastic, and I'm excited to check it out!

They've always been smarter than Cinema Sins and Doug Walker, et al.

You must have confused it with the Goonies, which, fuck that movie so much.

I saw Hunt for The Wildepeople and I adored it
(also I'm seeing Casablanca tonight for the first time :D)

Love how one of the comments are about her friend's boobs. Wish she was more open and quirky like that, instead of whatever her persona-esque thing is now.
In fact I wish she was lesbian, though considering I am that myself I might be projecting. (she scares me though I wouldn't want to date her)

Pence too, please.

Is it still worth seeing, even though the hype is fading? (I do want to see it, but I only have time to see a few movies in the next couple of weeks)
