Bad material is a fun test in a way. Brosnan saying the titles of some of his Bond movies, and me not immediately rolling my eyes, was the moment when I went "Say, you're really good at this acting thing." When he has to say Die Another Day—that moment should've been so much worse.

So Brosnan was a bad Bond now? A good Bond movie isn't necessarily a good movie, and the quality of the Bond is only a part of that equation. For the better, Bond has always been the easiest franchise for people to criticize reasonably because we've mostly all seen enough to see all the parts.

I totally expected your number two, thinking that would've added something but I guess they got me? I think Brosnan is spot-on. I like Casino Royale the best of the Craig Bond movies, but I finished the movie thinking "Huh, they did it well. I don't think I want Bond to be Bourne though."

I for one have been both thrilled with the sudden appearance of so many fantasy comics, and kinda flummoxed by all of the Image ones at the same time. In the, dude, I'm not sure this is a publishing calender that was prudently thought out.

Hmmm, I want to like Island so much more than I do. I appreciate the effort and have been supporting it, and I figure all anthologies are going to be hit or miss, and it's been kinda amazing that they're keeping it up so far, but it's also felt undercooked at the same time. I'm only liking one item each issue, which

Liked it a lot, cooled down to just liking it. It's in a bit of a holding pattern right now. I think it executes its concept really well, but the characters are probably more limited than expected.

Ennis!

Wow, that's actually a super-villain plan. I mean, he could still be all benevolent and do good things after he takes over like every other interviewee, but he didn't say it was so he could do that.

Ha! Well, yeah, but I don't want to bankrupt the Walrus with my first comment.

I've picked up Monstress but haven't read it yet. Looking forward too it. I've found Takeda's art stiff previously, but it like it's gotten looser or at least reads, and the colors are gorgeous.

And definitely gets stronger as it goes. They don't do bad work, but I the second arc is when their footing started feeling steady.

Ha, I must not have gotten the secret ending. I liked the gameplay alot, but I remember thinking it was overdone in some ways?

Ditto again. I actually think gamers may over emphasize choice in general—we want to feel agency, but maybe better stories are told if there's no actual control ceded to the player? Plot wise that is. Bioshock has generally played well with it.

Ah, I actually think you have to finish Braid to get the full effect of his blowhardiness. His gameplay is magnificent, but the way the narrative portion plays out, the why of the game—and the conflict between what he says he wanted to say and the very real fact most people didn't read it that way—is where the yelling

Ditto. I appreciate the ambition, but I stopped when you didn't have a choice about using willy pete. Is that anywhere near 60%? I thought that was a poor forced "choice" and gave up on it after. You made me do a thing I wouldn't have by choice, so screw you for trying to make me feel bad about it.

Yeah, and she risked herself to prove her point with Kenny.

I went with Jane. I'll admit, it's the ending I most wanted. I imagine playing totally straight, I might've been inert and let Kenny go too far and I'd have a different ending, but that's actually what I thought was successful about season 2, it's training players like me to make a decision at that point. And as loyal

Interesting, I thought Season 2 was better and a lot more sophisticated and ambitious about their storytelling. The dog, the girl, the arm. the first meeting with the boy, it all leads up to the final decision, and thematically, you can't play indecisively without consequences. Season 1 had rougher spots—episode two

The most satisfying line in Hamilton was "We know who's really doing the planting" in "Cabinet Battle #1".

I was lucky enough to see it recently and everyone is beyond strong—but Odom blew it away indeed, I thought. Daveed Diggs too.
