I assume the fact that he’s turning into his former psycho head chef Joel McHale is not lost on him.

Being annoyingly rich already isn’t really an excuse to get exploited. Sure, it’s easier for them to walk away, but that doesn’t make being treated badly ok.
yeah seems clear they made that little aside specifically for people who may not know that.
On the one hand, I really want this to be at least almost as good as Fury Road.
My money’s on Del Toro but I’d put even money on Segel. I mean I don’t care, but I will gamble on a lot of things.
I find it bizarre to frame their choice in this as ‘doing the right thing.’ I think decisions like this are entirely situational and should be a combo of doing what makes the rest of the cast comfortable and honoring the loss.
I don’t think it needed an explanation, even for people who don’t know about The Elephant Man.
No one wants to be to far away when another Kendrick track drops
It’s dumb, but Sheriff Country actually makes a little bit of sense. Sheriffs’ offices are the main law enforcement in rural, unincorporated areas that aren’t served by a municipal police force, so I guess “Sheriff Country” implies that it takes place in a remote area where only sheriffs have local jurisdiction. It at…
It is easily the best, not least because the product that it is about is dead and therefore the film does not need to operate as an advertisement. It feels more like an actual story being told, and without the oversight of a corporation looking to protect its brand.
if theres a puzzle box im gonna try and solve it. sure i might get sent to hell, but theres a equal chance i might get possessed by an ancient pharaoh that makes me good at games.
Another episode came to mind. Some activist had a youtube channel and was filming the cops in the wake of black lives matter. I missed a lot, but he had a lawsuit against the cops and they had a serious dinner table conversation about “how can the police do their jobs if they’re being filmed?!”
Ok so I’m a TV snob. I hate the entire genre of procedurals. But when I visit my dad I’m like “oh god please pick antiques roadshow I can’t take another episode of NCIS.”
I wouldn’t say weird. Bluey is whimsical.
Yeah, I don’t think he’ll win this lawsuit, for the reasons you state, but if you asked a 100 random people right now to name an abuser from Nickelodeon, his name would definitely be the only one that came up. And the documentary isn’t not responsible for that.
You clearly haven’t been to Universal Studios either coast in sometime time. Harry Potter land is huge and selling tons of merch.
I went to see this last night without knowing much and it was way too late for a movie the same length as 2001: A Space Odyssey and twice as demanding of my concentration. The theater was pretty empty, save for two women and a guy who, at 30-minutes in, must’ve inhaled a piece of peanut M&M. From there, my attention…
I’m very interested in the movie personally, I just really dislike the concept of “getting it” as an element of critical analysis. I much prefer “divisive”. At least that doesn’t gatekeep by pretending that anyone who comes away with a negative opinion must not understand what they’ve watched.
It’s not a matter of either subjectivity or hyperbole. The concept of “getting it” is a lazy, gatekeeping trope of pseudo-intellectual analysis. Anyone who enjoys a piece of art can deny criticism by falling back on “Well you just didn’t get it.” You’ll notice I didn’t object to “most exciting, singular voices”, which…
