This is the answer for the family with four kids who are just waking up to the fact that debt suck. Buy this in cash, and drive it with no payments. Save money, upgrade in 3-4 years to something nicer.

I have a love/hate relationship with my 05 Suburban. It has a custom fourth row seat, so it fits my entire family (+1 love). It never breaks. (+1 love). It’s as ugly as sin (-1 love). It’s paid off (+1 love). 14 miles to the gallon on average, but my wife and I are both heavy footed (Neutral).
Everyone’s situation is different, for sure. Work is almost always going to suck in one way or another, that’s why we demand money to be there.
