I thought the same thing, but with the exact opposite meaning.

    Houstonians.

They were in Greenspoint, which is also known as Gunspoint. This is the area where all the looting is happening. It’s also where the ambulances are shot at on a regular basis if they’re coming to pick up a rival gang member. If you want to get shot, it’s a great part of town.

    Dear Cajun Navy,

I’m in Houston. Stores and restaurants are open all over. These people need to go to jail.

Speaking as a Houstonian, I hope they all go to jail. No one is starving, and stores are open all over town.

That’s the problem. Houston averages 49" of rain a year. Some areas got 50" in two days. It was enough water in Harris County alone to keep Niagara falls running for 15 days.

    Exactly.

Wake zones and no wake zones have been established. In areas where property is total loss, it’s more important to save people’s lives than to protect a house with 8 feet of water in it.

Actually, they are out there by the dozens rescuing people. This is a massive effort, and much of it is just a dude with a truck.

The Blackhawks over the bayou are pretty cool, too.

The levee failed about 30 minutes ago.

Most of this was not in a flood zone, it was an epic storm. Areas that have never flooded in recorded history of the area are underwater.

The state is parking fuel trucks at the edge of the flooding. Line up, fill up, get back out there.
