You also developed an affinity for the ever trendy opposite hand Nazi salute.

You’re going to love it. I, sadly, lost my Passat TDI SEL in a flood about a year ago. I now have a gas Passat and a gas CC. You simply can’t get a better car for the money than a VW.

    Counterpoint. Fast and interesting.

John and Jane Doe don’t know how to hitch a buggy to an appaloosa, either.

Cherokee with the V6 does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds, Elantra Sport does it in 8.2. Congratulations, you just bought your newest “slowest car ever”.

good luck finding a manual on a sedan these days or most SUVs and crossovers

Conceptually cool, realistically dumb. I’m pretty much smack dab in the middle of the core demographic for this car, but I would never buy it. The family hauler needs to haul the family for two day road trips, not track days. Houston to Denver in a slammed wagon? My spine doth protest. Family hauler needs to eat

    Got it, makes sense.

    Good question...

I turned 40 a few months ago. Oh well...

Any decent business credit card covers rental car insurance as a perk.

I’m emerald executive. I get fun cars probably 1 out of 10 times. I got a few Hemi Challengers and Camaro SS’s (SSs?), which were cool. I got a BMW 528 in DC a few weeks ago, which was nice.

Rental car companies make the vast majority of their revenue on business travel. This idea lives or dies based on whether or not it becomes accepted practice to allow people to expense a more expensive driverless car. As for me, even though I love to drive, I would probably want to do this 50-75% of the time so I

If this had 50k miles or less, it would be NP all day. With almost 100k, I’m going to have to pass.

Except watches. Soviet watches were on point. They were Timex reliable and Timex cheap, but usually had some unique feature that would really set them apart.
