Oh, I hated school athletics. I had come to the same conclusion too—that I just “wasn’t a sports person”—but it turns out I’m really quite at home in a gym/fitness center environment. That sure doesn’t win medals and accolades, but if fitness and fun were the goals instead of competitiveness, perhaps we’d have fewer

I am not defending the guy, which seems obvious by my posts. I do believe I was pretty critical of his choices. I am saying that I can understand the motive to drive through a potentially violent crowd, which does somewhat include this situation because they allegedly began beating on his car. Had they not done that

I more or less agree with you. After Alexian Lien and Reginald Denny, if a crowd surrounds and pounds on my car, I am bolting. I would rather face a jury than have my head smashed bloody into pavement. But I will add that I will only do so of I feel they are trying to break my windows, slash my tires, or otherwise

“You’re welcome for that metro area award”

If a crowd of people surrounds my car and starts hitting it, I’m getting the hell out of there. I can’t be the only person who feels this way.

Herring’s vigil is interesting. S/he had stabbed a neighbor and sliced a cop before s/he was shot. While I think that better mental health approaches need to be tried, to which I look to Britain as having a very low rate of shooting angry knife-wielders, the fact the neighbor is still in serious condition is something

What about the people who lose their pets several times a week? It’s called a fence, people, check into it.

“I won’t still be living in T-shirts on the weekends,” she writes in conclusion, “but for my 9-to-5, I’m ready for something a little more special.

The thing you didn’t see: cleavage.

If by “going out” you mean trips to Safeway, the pharmacy or Home Depot, I still go out. I may dress up more fancy if I go to Ikea though. I’ll wear my dark jeans for meatball lunch.

My aesthetic: Elizabeth Jennings.

Thank you! I mean, if you dont like that shit you dont have to wear it helloooo.

Lol “jeans and a nice top” has been my going-out go-to for decades now and YOU WILL NOT TAKE THAT FROM ME!!!!

As long as they don’t smell like shit I don’t care what anyone wears.

I have never once looked at a casually-dressed (or even shabbily dressed) person and thought “that person is really being inconsiderate to me.” I can’t imagine the mindset that would.

I don’t think dressing nicely correlates to being considerate, even though both fall into the broad category of “caring what other people think”. In fact, I think the opposite argument can be made. Caring a lot about superficial appearance for it’s own sake primes a mindset where you feel comfortable making all kinds

A star for you.

Lets also consider some differences..

It shifted right around the time airlines got deregulated, and we went from flight being a rare-ish luxury event available to few (and you’ll note a decidedly monochromatic aspect to this image):

Did you know we use water to wash cars AND we also drink it???? Makes you think.
