So a spider that looks like a scorpion that also sprays. That is horrifying.

Sooo....this was really fascinating to read.

Wat? Bat’s spray???

Mindymoo, I really want the very best for you in every way.

Depends on her sexual history.

Jesus Christ. I’m sorry, this was all unfair and shouldn’t have happened to you. I just really want to say that I hope you are healthy and well.

We found the most honest person on the internet. You totally could have run with this about being an extra and we all would have believed you and worshiped at your chrome altar.

So because it takes place in a fictional society, it doesn’t count. I see. Also since women aren’t people, it doesn’t count? Got it.

Is it really any different than the books’ problem with violating the bodies of women?

Why should the poster calm down?

Agreed 100% with how this show and the book presents rape. It’s disgusting and irresponsible.

Who cares how medieval society felt about marital duties or rape or whatever. There are plenty of stories of women abandoning their marriages and families, desperate to get away to live a life of chastity in convents, because of the abuses they suffered at the hands of their husbands. It may not have been labeled as

“Aggressive sex”. “Unwanted sex”. The mental gymnastics in this thread and the phrases being used here are making my head spin. It’s not rape rape, right? Light rape. Diet rape.

As brilliant as grrm when it comes to portraying women reacting to rape? Give me a fucking break.

No, understanding the long term impact of sexual assault is not a recent thing. We may have recent psychological and medical terms for insurance reasons but look into medieval diaries and such and you will find people who survived assault and were more than able to link the two.

Her breasts are defying gravity. It doesn’t matter how young you are...breasts just don’t do that.

This whole thing is horrifying to me.

Not sure why everyone decides to jump to the absolute worst interpretation of it. Married couples share their income.

They’re married. They share the income.

Not really seeing a problem here?
