So, I live in a really small coastal town. Normally we get the summer people in late May, early June. About 9-10 days ago, (just before the weekend) all the NY and NJ plates started showing up, obviously not self-quarantining, shopping in the local grocery store.....and today, we had our first case of Covid-19.....a

In theory if you isolate yourself from anyone else and only going to the grocery store and other essentials it should be fine, but you are travelling state to state, stopping at multiple places for gas and food, you would be spreading the virus unwittingly and irresponsibly

It makes me uncomfortable to see drunk people on national news networks. A few weeks ago, Larry Kudlow seemed completely wasted. I don’t know if anyone remembers Dr Nancy Snyderman. She was an on air medical expert for the Today show and NBC in general, and was regularly on TV, until NBC yanked her for being somewhat

What never ceases to amuse me is the control they have over their ears.

whether the drug hydroxychloroquine is an effective prophylactic against coronavirus

I feel like my ethics are being tested with each new case involving a deluded douch-bag. I want to be kind, but these are just the worst-acting people.

His neighbor is going to have to wear gloves and a mask while beating his ass.

Not gonna lie, at the rest of sounding like a cold-hearted bastard... I laughed when I heard this.

I’m not sure what to do with the sentence “Realistically not all women are worth defending”. There’s gotta be a better way to phrase that some women are problematic. No matter how shitty Ann Coulter or Kim Kardashian are, I’ll never be okay with threatening them with rape or scrutinizing their appearance. Literally

Nah fuck that. Doesn’t matter if the author of this specific article was around for any of that onslaught. They represent Jezebel and it’s incredibly shitty to not even slightly acknowledge their own previous position in this conflict.

Why do gun owners talk about their guns so god damn much?  Is it like us cat people and cats?

Check out one of my favorite Connie Willis books, Bellwether, about trends and specifically bobbed hair! The main character is a statistician who’s trying to figure out exactly how a something becomes a trend, and the tracing of hair bobbing is how she does it.

What a great read. It’s oddly comforting to know that female hair has always been a fraught and coded issue when it feels like cutting off your locks can be politicized.

“They don’t even have to die...”

Whelp, that's one way to rapture.

“This bible school is open because we’re raising up revivalists, not pansies.”

Anyone who doesn’t feel a gut punch at each and every death that occurs at our borders needs to go to hell.
