To be fair David O. Russell suffers from a common condition that makes it impossible for him to visually perceive women over the age of about 25. Do they even exist? David may never know.

Let’s talk about this, because I always got the vibe that MIA was coming from a place of appreciation. She always gave credit where it was due, always made note of her inspirations and the people she worked with. It was rarely a ‘hit it and quit it’ situation with her music, it always was, ‘I was in Jamaica working on…
omg imagine corgis in little dragon costumes
Kate Middleton is going to break the wheel, Kelly.
My mom will be sad about this, as my father strongly resembled Omar Sharif in his younger days (still has that epic stache even at 77). Furthermore, she said she once sat next to the real Omar on a plane and he hit on her - as she tells the story she says, “What can I say? Tall, dark, and handsome mustachioed men love…
Good lord, this is the nicest comment section I have ever seen! I had to make an account just to say that. You are all really kind, who wouldn’t want a response like that? Lovely, thank you. I think maybe it’s weird to comment under your own interview but I’m doin’ it anyway.
YES! The drawing of Poe and Verne in the hot air balloon with their arms around each other and the “Bros” banner makes me guffaw each and every time.
Oh my god yes, it is amazing. Also her FAMILY comics! Every time she’s at home on vacation, the comic style stories about whatever her sisters and parents are doing are incredible. Funny but also just like, yes, that is how families are, in the best way.
I am fangirling so hard right now. I LOVE KATE BEATON IMMENSELY.
Kate Beaton is amazing. No matter how down I feel, looking at Edgar Allan Poe’s puzzled expression as he reads the fanboy letter from Jules Verne just fills me with delirious joy. On Twitter a few months ago she was asking people for suggestions for tiny historical and literary figures to draw and I suggested Oscar…
The response I have formulated after 9+ years of being asked when we are going to “give” our daughter a sibling: “After three miscarriages it became apparent that my uterus is for decorative purposes only. But thanks for reminding me about the most painful and heart-wrenching experience I’ve ever had while also…
Have you looked at who Hillary is surrounding herself with? It looks very white and very male. Her campaign manager is Robby Mook. Fucking white guy as well.
hey guys here i am
The primaries are the ideal time to vote for an unelectable candidate.
This has been the story of Clinton’s campaign. Voters who meet her love her, but the press is all “WHY WON’T SHE PAY MORE ATTENTION TO US?!?!?!! WAAAAAAAA” because Clinton doesn’t give every waking moment to some reporter.
Sanders 2016!!!!
You’d think so, but based on the documentary it seems as though he lived pretty-much the same lifestyle he did before he had money. Aside from the fact that the money ensured that he would be able to keep his property (which he always referred to as “the land”), I didn’t get the sense that he really cared much about…
My Uncles Rick and Jack have a cabin in Elliotsvile Maine, that abutted land that he owned and they told him they intended to be good stewards of the property and leave minimal impact and Burt gave them written permission to hike on his land.
If you haven’t seen it, watch Burt’s Buzz on Netflix. It’s a documentary about him and the company. It’s really amazing how simply he lived.
I lived in Carrboro, NC when Burt opened a Burt’s Bees store there. He used to stand on the sidewalk and hand out coupons that looked like dollar bills, with his face where the president would normally be. At first I thought he was a homeless dude.
