Location of the field goal posts. NFL posts are out of bounds - only a short kick can be returned. And how many kicks are short. In CFL, as highlight above shows, posts are in front of a much deeper end zone. Ball was wide right, but returnable. In the NFL, that couldn't be returned.

What I think many people ignore, is that the diehard sports fan is going to support their team pretty much no matter what. Those dollars will be made. It is catching the casual fan and their money that is important. And a national story with a dominant name and face will do a better job of that then if the best team…
