I couldn’t remember when I stopped, but this makes me realize it was after S3. I know I disliked it so much I skipped the next season, and it sounds like that was a good call.

Regarding the pine disinfectant - no comment on the product itself, but just to reinforce what so many people forget / never knew...

I’m finishing up a loop of Justified, about 3 eps left and I’m getting sad. Boyd is top five TV characters for me. So while I’d love more Boyd, having his story end there makes sense. It needs to end with “we dug coal together”.

And, as with most “disinfectant” products, the video shows him using it as a cleaning product.  Spraying with disinfectant then wiping it right off is just cleaning.
