Yeah I only think getting the equivalent of a 9.35 100M would be harder out of shear physical ability. Don’t know if a body can even sustain that speed. Very true, the 100M record feels like it’s on the brink of physical possibility IMO. A marathon is a long race so simply shaving off a few seconds per mile can get you to that record, but at some point the body just can’t push past a certain level. If my rudimentary math is correct, lowering the Marathon record by aprox 3 min (which is what it would take to break 2 hours) would be lowering it by aprox 2.4% off the current record. So more like the equivalent of running a 9.35 second 100M.
