Before I clicked I was thinking "It won't be based mainly on the anonymous hack, right? where the victim is just a catalyst for a story about some dudes versus some other dudes, right?"
Looks like somebody's boss/wife/kids/mom had a little chat with him.
Dr. Ruth is a goddamn national treasure.
Can we officially declare anti-vegetarians as more irritating then vegetarians already? I've witnessed vegetarians living up to the "smug, self-righteous" stereotype maybe once in my life. Yet hardly a week goes by where I don't witness meat-eaters making a bunch of shrill remarks about how insufferable vegetarians…
Grandma wants some sugar. Grandma gets her sugar.
Straight up stealing a kiss from the POTUS? Bold move. This woman is my hero.
I was never particularly attached to HIMYM (it wasn't until the fanfare around the finale that I was able to remember what the acronym even meant), but it's unfortunate that the practice of using a dead woman as a speed bump for a male one's development is apparently no longer exclusive to drama.
I would agree with this, except this isn't the platform at all. The whole thing began to open a discussion on the Washington Redskins and their shitty foundation. Which, from reading the comments, still isn't getting a lot of shit.
Since 100% of marriages end in divorce or death this was very fitting.
It would have been incredibly impactful for me as a young person to hear an adult say that my life would get better. As a nerd youth, my "role models" were grungy, loser adults who hated their lives. It didn't make me very optimistic for my own future.
I like this show too, but if we're looking for a liberal propaganda show we can do better than a show that is set in New York but has no black people on it, except Wayne Brady, and presents Barney as a lovable scamp and the women he manipulates into sleeping with him as dumb sluts who get what they deserve.
Are you kidding me, or is this a poorly-written parody piece? Women have been investing and handling household budgets for eons. This is embarrassing.
I get that they are extremely privileged, but I still feel bad sometimes for Prince William. His parents had an ugly divorce, and his mom died when he was just a teenager. And every time he takes a breath, someone writes about it.
I'm incredibly happy that I am a mother (particularly because my kid is over 25).
I saw the tweet as a stand-alone with no knowledge of the Redskins context, and took it as funny based on Colbert's persona — that he *is* the type of guy who would think "Ching Chong Foundation for Orientals" is a good name for an anti-racism group. It's making fun of him, not Asian people.
Wait, so I wasn't supposed to eat those Irish babies? Fuuuuuuu
