This. If a guy is very nice, non-threatening and polite, he can get away with things that the average guy cannot. If a guy has social, hygiene, personality or other issues, he will seem like a creeper almost no matter what he does. It's 95% the person himself.

Alternate Take:

Guys are really bad at not weirding out women.

Against my better judgement, I read every one. All it did was dredge up every awkward teenage interaction I ever had with girls I liked, and now I have a desire to get overwhelmingly drunk.

I'm pretty sure Sean Waltman IS a 45-year-old weed dealer who hangs around the local high school.

I don't know about those options but the Legion of Doom look great, especially considering Hawk has been dead since 2003

Exactly. If he wanted to, Paterno could have easily said to the president and cops "Have you started to investigate Jerry Sandusky? No? Okay then, I'm going to kick Sandusky out of his office, tell him to stay the hell away from my players. Then I'm going to the media and tell them about him and you can either join me

I don't have a problem with Target selling sex toys. Why not?

They already do. Trojan sells a janky cock ring right next to the condoms.

Not everyone gambles on the outcome. Also, only idiots gamble on their own teams - too emotionally involved.

I LOVE seeing people going crazy when their team loses.; so much emotion for something that doesn't matter. Good times!

Neither do I, and I never said anything remotely close to that.

I have. I spent 2 hours going through them after the attack.

I agree it's important to defend their right to publish it. I just don't think the martyrization of the magazine is appropriate. While it's obviously disgusting what was done to them in retaliation, they still weren't heroes of some sort for pushing out this gunk.

Okay, I get it now - Charlie Hebdo is like South Park, in that because it loudly proclaims to be for liberal/libertarian ideals, any racism is simply due to faulty interpretation by those that see it.

The Onion is, for the most part, tasteful and has specific points beyond, "Hey! Look at this and get mad!"

lol, I love how any criticisms of the article are left perpetually "pending." That's rich.

Yeah, this is a pretty horribly written/thought-out article, imo.

Jesus Christ. Stop trying to defend/rationalize/contextualize this piece of shit magazine.

The older I get, the more I'm bugged by South Park's lack of empathy. It's more a show that says, "Haha, everyone is so miserable because they're not rational libertarians like we are. Idiots." But whatever.
