yes!!! Why are the Ferguson police wearing camo gear and army boots. They are in an urban setting with black paved smooth roads. The boots will do nothing but weigh them down and reduce their mobility. Camo gear where NOTHING surrounding them is remotely green, brown and tan earth tones is BIZARRE.

Yes. Especially since it appears cops tend to be rough to almost everyone who is not rich white and empowered. Even protesters without criminal records get assaulted by cops.

I have heard from many urban young men, that walking in the middle of the street is a way to avoid groups of gang members hanging out on sidewalk corners. If these police were at all sensitive to the customs of the community they policed, they would have known that.
