It was telegraphed. When Melisandre looked at her and said “blue eyes”, Arya knew what she meant immediately.

I expected a Bran ex machina until the last moment, only to be left wondering what the hell was he doing warging the whole time. Just to fly some crows around?
I’m just a bit disappointed the White Walkers didn’t make it down south to murder some of those insufferable people in King’s Landing. That place stinks.
Some eagle-eyed person on Twitter found Ghost on next week’s promo. House Stark survives the battle undefeated.
Not in my death pool because he was too low tier:
It wasn’t a great night for House Mormont, but a better-than-expected night for House Stark. All of them survived the battle, except, perhaps Ghost Stark.
That was also off character. Theon knows when to run to live and fight the next day.
My death pool from last week was all over the place https://io9.gizmodo.com/1834205786
I guess we won’t have Captain Marvel: Civil War 2.
This episode was with no deaths, because they need to save as much fodder as they can for the carnage of next episode.
Theon stills has a score to settle with his uncle. I think by the end of the show, it’s going to be family-murdering business. Theon vs Euron, The Hound vs the Mountain, Jamie and or Tyrion vs Cersei.
That’s a nice theory, they don’t show the Night King at all in the previews. He could be flying his dragon down south.
Too bad that, save some crazy shit, like Jon Snow getting killed to be resurrected next episode by a surprise appearance of Melisandre, we can have an idea who’s going to live and who’s going to die next episode. There’s no point of having the Night King after next episode, when Cersei, the Mountain, Euron and Golden…
Remember kids, there are some characters that are not playing the Game of Thrones next week, and have to be dealt with before the last episode:
The funny thing is, after Bran revealed the motivations of the Night King, everyone in the room agreed that it made sense.
Two things in this episode that almost never happen in the show:
So who is doing a death pool on the characters that are not going to make it past next episode?
The showrunners believe we’re not going to call their bluff, Bronn can’t possibly do it. Sure, he wants to portray everyone his loyalty is to no one but the highest bidder, but he has bonded with the Lannister bros too much over the course of the show, and he wouldn’t be surprised if they call him a friend. I think…
I also expected Theon rescuing his sister to be a bit more heroic. I guess Euron didn’t think that another disadvantage of having the crew of his ship mute is they can’t yell alarm when someone sneaks in.
I don’t think the white walkers killed everyone in Last Hearth, didn’t the little lord tell Sansa he’d send to Winterfell as many as he could transport? Speaking of that, the Battle of Winterfell wants to be so epic, they’re sending almost every major character still alive to fight it. In this episode alone we know…
