I see a lot of devs abandoning the Mac App Store because of Apple’s restrictions. Personally I’d never buy a game through the Mac App Store, I’d check if it’s on Steam first. Steam has the advantage of better controller/multiplayer support and your games are multi-platform in case you want to play on Windows or Linux.…

The visual style reminds me of The Long Dark. I was actually expecting the game to be similar to The Long Dark because of that very reason.

As a rule of thumb, I switch to lower settings than my Mac is capable of. I’m starting to think some Mac ports are just the actual PC games run on top of Wine.
