I fired off a letter to my local affiliate....their website has a “contact for public comments” tab. It came right back to me. “Undeliverable because you are not an approved email contact” WTF? So I sent it to the news desk and the weather desk and the sports desk.

WGN and WPIX are Tribune Broadcasting stations, but the deal has not gone through yet. If it does, there will likely be some divestitures that have to happen, but it is a scary prospect that Sinclair may buy Tribune Broadcasting.

I heard that several of the Tribune stations won’t be part of the sale.

Yeah, it’s already happening. As Carmen Fanzone points out below, they’ve got WGN, which goes way beyond Chicago. I believe they’ve also acquired WPIX in New York.
