By that age, he might have made as many as another two movies!

Wow, another stupid, unfunny comment. Shocking.

What an original hilarious response.

You’re so so so brave and important.

Can I see naked people on this... Inter-net?

See to me all Basterds does is turn one notch up on the fictional ww2 dial to reflect the unheathiness of the revenge as moral good line most hollywood war movies take. Applying this self seving mythologising to Hollywood as a whole itself works brilliantly for me.

I was wondering if that bizarro Guardian opinion piece about why Tarantino needs to be cancelled was going to show up here as a GJI link. It’s been a hell of a week so far between that and film twitter saying Scorsese needs a gifted female editor to rein in his overly macho impulses.

I guess we were spoiled by the AVClub of ten years ago.

She stabbed him. It was an abusive relationship. They shouldn’t reconcile, she should be in prison. It’s a very straightforward scenario.

I didn’t, actually. I was just explaining hipsterism. But as you’re determined to dislike and insult me, what the fuck ever.

Okay. But who else talks about those shows? You’re not the only person your age, yet when The Office came out I don’t recall reading comparisons to Operation Goodguys, People Like Us, or Victoria Woods’ films. Again, you may be right! Even so, you’re being a real turd about it. And “hipster” isn’t an age-related

That's fine and you may well be right but this is some super duper hipster shit right here. Doesn't make you wrong, just makes you kinda jerky.

Hot take, coming through!

The Office is terrible . . .

come on, man. the office completely revolutionized the tv comedy.

Not as classy as purposely pretending you don’t understand something so that you can play the victim card, I suppose.

I dunno, man, as much as he’s a parody of himself now, he did some pretty great stuff. The Office was an amazingly great show, and Brent was an amazingly great character.

Good to hear. Looking at Twitter last night and speaking to people at work today what strikes me is that virtually no-one believes these guys. Also, a load of people refused to watch the documentary out of loyalty to “The Prince of Pop”. Depressing.

While I certainly think Bateman made some dumb comments that he clearly now regrets, the amount of vitriol and outrage this is generating among the Twitterati is also pretty infuriating. Jezebel is literally running an article where the author posts quotes from the interview and then writes “FUCK OFF” multiple times.
