Not technically about the food, but that grocery store scene in The Fantastic Mr. Fox is so good.

In a show with fantastic casting, she’s clearly the crown jewel.

Nah it’s def nerd shit you’re pulling there. No hate,  but it is what it is.

I’m still going to have a hard time seeing anything but Roy Kent, but I mean, I love Brett Goldstein. Plus: I’ve begun to appreciate how good a job he’s done with Roy even more, since I started listening to his podcast Films to be Buried With. He's such a sweet, happy-sounding guy and just comes across as being

OMG, I just looked up class of 99 (didn’t know it was a thing) and it’s the same director! Ha! He had a niche, didn’t he!

As a Brown NYC kid this movie made everything about High School seem so much worse in 1982!

I had never heard of that film until I read your comment, and now I’ve seen clips on Youtube.  Holy crap, that looks dark!

Wait no Lincoln High from the Class of 1984!  What a school! They happen to hang Michael J Fox from the flag pole in this movie! Sorry for the spoilers! lol!

These feel chosen at random and without any qualification other than that you remembered them. Any list without Westerberg High seems hastily assembled.

For this Gen-Xer Grease was HUGE, so this news hurts a lot.

First of all, RIP to a great talent!

As far as their faux Docs go, Co-Op is my favorite, with Mulaney and Killam standouts. I will listen to the Cast Recording now and again—Paula Pell singing “I Gotta Go” is a favorite. A fun quick playlist on Spotify.

Before I got down to the paragraph that speculates who would likely be playing Klaus Kinski, I had a speculation of my own: put Willem Dafoe in a fright wig and he could do a passable Kinski.

I’m personally delighted by this.

I’m glad they’re adapting The Talisman. That seems to get short shrift among Stephen King’s output, and Stranger Things is already the best King adaptation out there despite not actually being a King adaptation at all.

...and Superman is a DICK!”

League Of Super-Appliances!
Thrill as Superman’s microwave teams up with Batman’s salad shooter to fight crime and injustice!

Bane is the one character everyone loves and I don’t. They took Dark Knight Rises Bane and made him the Meg of the group and... that’s it. I’m not saying he’s a bad character—I just think he’s overrated.

True that.  He was in a film awful enough to feature on MST3K, but even there, he gave an earnest performance that was far better then the movie deserved.

Count him along with Roger Corman as people I would have thought were already dead, although to my surprise last week, Corman is alive and well.
