I live on a very red part of Long Island and this is exactly the same here. What really amazes me is I have friends who are in unions (town and so forth) and yet go on about the evils of them while enjoying all the benefits.

Insanity flat out. I grew up on LI and we flew out of JFK and LaGuardia (now out of McArthur) but anyway I can remember getting and reading those and even as a kid being stunned how crazy they were.

As a kid in the lat 70's I was terrified of cults and those folks. Although the Hari Krishnas just seemed weird and kind of goofy: remember (as chronicled in Airplane!) how many of those religious folks would be at airports pressing those shitty pamphlets on you?

You know, I had a Cult/Kool-Aid joke ready for this but the punch line was too long...
