@in ottermann speramus: Nice thing about the OS though, you can change a lot of portions of it (including buttons/internal bits if rooted) to appeal more to your own personal sense of style.

Probably the biggest reason that action bar isn't on the phones, can you imagine the amount of space it'd take up on a 3.7" screen?

Considering that Verizon's voice/data simultaneous issue is because of the protocol used, I'm betting their "fix" is LTE, which will allow data/voice simultaneously.

@gnur: One reason, the ability to set the notification LED to different colors depending on which account received the email. Plus, some of us actually have multiple accounts.

@eddiemonster: Not sure what to do about the .wav files, but the notification issue is odd. Is it only k-9 that won't launch when you click?

@LordThanatos: Most of those corporations should have POP3 (or IMAP) access blocked to begin with.

@NuevoLeon: For the Netflix app, you're one of many many people who want an Android version. Supposedly, we'll get it at some point (or if nothing else, someone'll rip it out of a system dump from the Revolution).

@Sl4ck3r: Exactly, plus, at least one popular AT&T Android phone (looking at the Captivate here), doesn't even have the option for installing non-market apps without going through the process of sideloading them and that's a key feature of the OS.

@monkeybusiness: One note though, the OG Droid doesn't have Blur on it, nor a locked bootloader.

I know Aldiko will let me go back to the book I was reading, but if I let it sit long enough, the OS kills the process and I'd have to relaunch the book. I do use the long-press on home to bring up the task switcher too, since just

@KatsumeBlisk: Unfortunately, thats kinda the problem a lot of people are having with Samsung and the Galaxy S line of phones (someone on XDA has created a class action lawsuit about it).

@muzicman82: Another option is Tasker. Have a context of not plugged in and I think it can set screenout time, but not certain on that aspect.

Easiest way to find out if someone's stealing your wireless? Change the password/SSID.

Interesting, when I went and put in my number, I was not given the checkbox warning of an ETF and I'm still on contract with VZW for another 10 months.

@ihityouinthenose: And along these lines, check the battery manager to see what really is eating up your battery (and keep an eye on it to know when something spikes higher than normal).

@vintage: Except the G1 and the D1, both were also pure Android without skins of any sort.
