The puppet in the music video is icing on the cake

Whether or not you agree with that, can we at least agree that her actions have actual consequences in the books? Show Cersei blew up the Westeros-equivalent of the Vatican with the High Sparrow, her uncle, and most of the Tyrells inside, she has no blood claim to the throne and on top of that the Lannister gold mines

If the pre-season leaks are accurate( and this episode pretty much erases any doubt) then the Night King is going to be stealing most of Euron's arc, so he can look as silly as he wants to

Her level of competency has been consistent throughout the series, this is the woman who had three children with her brother and wasn't subtle about it, if Littlefinger and Varys weren't keeping it a secret she would have been executed before the story even began

I'm pretty sure the only prerequisite on the casting call for Euron was "Must look like Alfie Allen"

Have you actually read the books? B/c book Cersei as a character has much more depth than this silly caricature on the show.
She hates herself for being a woman in a patriarchal society, she screws her brother because she see him as a what she could have been as a man, she lashes out at anyone who threatens her and her

If the people they sold stolen dvd players to could see them now!

Or any non-Progressive bogeymen of your choosing…

I've never been more proud of market innovation as I am now, well done Narcos!

They did it with literally every other plot development, that's why I think the writers simply forgot about it

True, but that was years ago. And I'm pretty sure the writers forgot they included it, because it wasn't on the 'Previously on" segment which includes everything that is upcoming.

The closest I ever got to being a book snob was my temper tantrum over the third Harry Potter film omitting the Gryffindors winning the Quidditch Cup, but in my defense that was so awesome and and I loved Oliver Wood so much!

"It is truly an accomplishment how they manage to to…revert? Everything subversive in the books"
-This is so painfully true, Jon is absolute proof. He's basically become a full out standard fantasy male hero. He's in charge of Winterfell even though Sansa is the true-born heir AND then he's made King of the North even

The plan changed, yeah, but he still worked it all out, there's still a logic to everything that happens in the story. And characters have nuance, there's fewer relgious zealots carving stars into their foreheads
Sidenote- I should probably get a new avatar…

He fucked up his story by planning ahead and building up a consistent logic within the narrative? What does that mean??

All I want is a show and a story that makes sense, I don't want a bunch of plot adaptations without any damn context. You want to show the Frey Meat Pies? Fine, then seed the idea and the story of the Rat King.
You want Pycelle to get killed by 'little birds"? Then don't have Qyburn do it and don't have it made

The characters and story are generally faithful, but its not a line-for-line adaptation as GoT defenders accuse the "purists" of wanting

I'm only imagining what MoSam is imagining, and why does the speed at which he writes matter to the quality of his writing compared to the GoT writers?

Are you watching the Preacher adaptation? You should, a bunch of stuff is different from the original comic, but the characters are still the same and the story plays out with actual logic
Hey, remember Harry Potter? …….
