I wouldn’t share with you guys anymore that’s for sure - but it’s a moot point given our new milk and lumber war - you’re on your own!

Well sure, but that’s what parental death threats are for (and I say this as someone with a very active and independent nearly 4 year old who has travelled internationally - it’s not that hard to keep them at least marginally under control, that’ s what freakin’ Paw Patrol is for...).

This stat is horrifying, I’ve never seen it laid out at the global level:

snort :)

Yup, I skimmed...

Be kinda weird if Britain/Germany/France had to save us from the fascists and communists this time...

Yeah... I think the myth of America is more pervasive at home than abroad (and I say this as a Canadian who rams her head up against our own freakin’ mythology time and time again - we’re assholes too guys!!)

Um, your credibility with your allies is already in freefall...

THIIIIISSSSS:

As a bilingual, this is just about my favourite episode ever. Joey and Phoebe forever!

It’s fucking fantastic, says this 40-something white Canadian chick who just finished episode four and is totally in love with Coco. She is an amazing character...

I too am from the great land of cheese and lumber... and I gotta say, your nurse friend is maybe a teensy bit lacking in compassion and perspective... Not a whole helluva lot of people are actually unhealthy “by choice”, even smokers (ever hear of addiction?), even, *gasp* “fat” people. I, just to pull an example out

I lost a $20 bill in grad school once and cried for two days (I had five jobs, and that was nonetheless my food money for the week...)

That works for just about any vegetable - and coincidentally, my almost four year old loooves vegetables*! Yay for the power of the roast!

Well and even if he is criticizing the way the show performs the story, there’s no indication that he’s criticizing the story itself... so yeah, I don’t have an issue with Andy.

I can’t figure out if Andy thinks the show is trite and preachy or if his comment on the show is trite and preachy. One way maybe makes him thoughtless and uncritical and the other way maybe makes him self-reflective and analytical. No idea which way to go with this one...

My parents were teachers, that’s really cute - they get excited about their regular ol’ students doing “normal” people things, I can’t imagine what they’d be like if one of them got famous... (although my dad went to school with Dan Akroyd and said he was a dink from the get-go, so fame tends not to impress).

That’s interesting, thanks! As the “esteemed” potus would say: who knew transportation could be so hard? :)

...and across the pond, Germany is developing legislation to combat fake news* - it`s like an opposites game!

omigod I forgot about this version - my daughter is almost 4 and has been OBSESSED with the number 4 since last summer. This will be her new theme song!
