Socks takes it too far. As long as your feet don’t stink and you keep them off my cubic foot of personal space, have at it.

Best way to watch the race? Stay home and get a 65" TV or spend $25k for a suite. There’s no in-between that makes sense on an enjoyment/$ spent basis.
Not really; the revenue from legacy first is not great considering that there is much higher demand for biz; which in turn provides more revenue per square foot of passenger cabin floor. Consider it a net win for everyone.

Same, no problem fitting in NB-ND2s. 6'1", 190 lbs
I front loaded all the problems with mine. Bought it from a friend for $800, non running, with 215k miles, and had been under a tree for 5 years. Has a salvage title to boot.
I was going to part it out and crush it, but it had so many nice options, and the damage that salvaged the car turned out to be a bunch of…
LH 2.4 and 3.1 are great. K-Jet is also great as long as the car stays running. Frequency valve/WUR/fuel distributor mixture/setting dwell in Breakerless are all things considered arcane these days.
Whoever told you a Volvo 5-cylinder is smooth is a goddamn liar. They rely on gigantic soft bushings for motor mounts and lots of lever arm to keep your teeth from rattling like mad. Shit, a Redblock vibrates less.
Missed branding opportunity by not calling it a RAV3. Don’t @ me on the original meaning of the name. That never actually matters.
If it were actually utilitarian, it would be a Corolla.
I honestly thought it was a lawn ornament on Free Practice day
375 hp Volvo 242, mostly stock E39 wagon. This for a family of 4.
Any Volvo built after 1998 isn’t a Volvo.
Add another $2000 in maintenance parts and it should be solid. Also, with a tune, headers and a 3-stage intake manifold, that engine could make around 300 bhp.
I’ll play the role of pedant here: It’s either P1800, 1800S or 1800E, or 1800ES. The leading P denotes Jensen-made cars. 1800S is “Sverige”, while 1800E is for “Einspritzung”. The 1800ES is the shooting brake thingy. Volvo has never been consistent as far as model names/versions/trim levels are concerned.
Nice price. Personally I’d set aside an extra $1000 for parts, then take engine and trans out and inspect every wear item. Got an E39 Touring here that’s getting the same treatment.
Bought an $800 E39 wagon with a blown head gasket. Proceeded to procure another engine, pulled a manual transmission setup from a wrecked car, ported and rebuilt the head, got cams, a better intake manifold, added a header, and in the process of taking the differential apart. Once it’s all back together I will have to…
Take a trip to Peru and hoard some pure pima cotton clothes. They are a thing of beauty.
Subjectively speaking, visually the ideal sidewall(x2) to overall diameter ratio is ~32-33% on a car. What the overal diameter is for a given set of wheels depends entirely on the size of the car. As for SUVs or crossovers, I could not care less.
