I'm nine and a half years sober as of six days ago. I quit drinking when I was 25. A lot of people said the same things you just said here. "Questionable maturity" "Likes to party like normal people his age".

My parents would have wanted to send me to counseling for my alcohol intake when I was 20 if A.) the news reported how often I got drunk (a lot) and B.) they could afford it.

I don't think he has a problem. He's in his young 20s and everyone his age is getting shitfaced all the time. His maturity comes into question, but labeling him an alcoholic because he likes to party like normal people his (my) age is a little absurd.

The problem is that ESPN has changed it's domain at least 5 times over the years, when it was a part of Prodigy (pre espn.sportszone.com) you'd have to find the cached page on their site. I will give it a bit more time today, but no promises! :P
