There are 1.2 million police in the US. There are 1.2 million bad police. Every last one of them is bad. This is not true for any other job or location in this country.

That's what makes me an awesome community member, yes. I've prevented 2 or 3 homicides in my time already by refusing to call the police, who knows how many more I can prevent in my lifetime!

Every cop is responsible for the behavior and actions of all cops. There are bad cops, and cops that witness the behavior of bad cops. Both of those groups are bad cops.

I've been the victim of 2 or 3 crimes in my time and have never called the police for exactly that reason. The next time I get mugged, assaulted, or see a crime happening, I will continue to not call 911. Calling 911 brings the truly murderous gung-ho criminals out, and they have legal immunity in this country.
