great idea. I think VW still has a strong following in the states, strong enough where this idea might be overkill. But numbers don’t lie, if they keep slipping every month we will see some changes.

There are a couple of assumptions worth challenging here:

Very little to none. VW will continue to sell the GTi well, people will continue to buy Porsches, Audi’s, Lamborghini’s, Skoda’s, SEAT’s, Bentley’s, Ducati’s and more. They have many valuable assets, unlike GM through their scandal and bankruptcy.
