Lol! They are concerned about VW diesel when they don’t want to be concerned about all the million other things that are polluting their environment.

Yes in my opinion because VW makes Porsche and the other brands. Further many of the same components in VW are found in Porsche. You can't kill off one without hurting the others, including, most specifically, Porsche.
I hear they will axe the new Corrado series. This is a huge disappointment for consumers. The EPA needs to think twice about what they are doing to jobs, the economy and the auto industry.
They don’t need to sell off anything. They will cut deals with every respected govt. involved.
VW is not a damaged name plate. I still would hesitate to buy an American branded car brand new. I don’t think people realize that every auto manufacturer is cheating. It is just that VW got caught on a non-safety issue. This in no way is as bad as prior recalls from other major manufacturers from Toyota to GM to Ford…
It’s hipocritical to buy Porsche and not buy any other VAG automobile.
If this technology is stupid, then how do you propose that other technologies beat America’s grip on gasoline?
Ha ha ha. (Not). They’re you go bashing TDI’s. I sense a bit of jealousy or may be really bad skills at humor.
I am curious if the public thinks dieselgate is on par with the severity of infraction and recall as this:
The most interesting thing you mentioned is the EPA’s disdain for alternative fuels. I say this applies to Detroit Automakers. It's kinda like Andrican beers advertising they are superior to all the rest in the world. A frank lie.
From Wiki:
Exactly, there are so few diesels sold that this whole thing is being blown way out of porportion.
You overestimate the damage to the environment. Currently there is no data to prove that or it’s severity.
There is no contractual violation with owners! Read the fine print. Everything was clearly and is still currently openly disclosed. Just visited the dealer yesterday and verified this.
Don’t work for VW and absolutely love it. Even after test driving so many other German and Anerican vehicles. Own several cars, all different makes and models, two Mercedes, one Ford, one Dodge, one Honda, one Toyota, one Hyundai, one Infiniti and still choose to drive this one. You don’t know what you are missing....…
“Over my dead body” as Charleston Heston of the NRA used to say.
I'm not worried. Glad this is bringing attention to TDI. I only expect lots of good to come out of this and more innovation. Not worried, now even more interested in diesel technology. I'm glad those who know little about these cars are getting an education or strengthening their pre-existing prejudice. Keep moving…
He's got a point. The arrogance of American consumers limits much better performance vehicles from being sold in the U.S. German European cars are a notch above those imported to the States.
The information on the advertised sticker was not made up. They provide full disclosure the MPG is uncertain and may be below what’s listed or what the EPA listed it as. It’s in the fine print.
Wrong. Under the advertised MPG, the sticker clearly says that the MPG could vary widely from what has been advertised on the sticker. Further, every VW salesman that I spoke to when I looked at new VW diesels clearly would tell me over and over that the MPG is NOT accurate and likely DID NOT reflect what was posted…
