Oh my god Marriage Story was the worst. They both sucked, zero chemistry, and even though ScarJo is a real-life parent I found her completely unbelievable as a mother.  RIP Ray Liotta, maybe the only good thing about that movie.

I’m rewatching it right now (I seem to every few years)—agree about Elijah! Also Desi was soooo good. And weird that I think Adam Driver is epic in girls but in everything else I’ve seen him in he seems awful, and no one else EVER knows what to do with his hair.

I still use powder. In my washing machine too. Liquid detergent leaves a residue that never rinses out of your clothes. But it’s getting so hard to find—the aisle at the grocery store has 99.9% liquid detergent now.

When you say “hold it there,” do you mean take it off the heat, cover, and let it rest? Or how do you hold it there while still cooking—quickly lower the oven temp or something?
