I think you should bring this up at your next therapy appointment. All of the commenters here have really given you a lot to think about and (in some cases) some good perspective, but that’s no substitute for talking about this with your therapist.

I am curious about cleansing sticks too. Is it just gimmicky packaging? Just putting soap on a stick? Do you love it? Why do I want one so badly???

Congratulations! And for what it’s worth, a friend’s daughter had the same heart condition and same two surgeries and is now a happy and healthy three-year old. Those doctors know what they are doing :)

Look into crochet, too. Lots of fun stuff to make and I enjoy it more than knitting for some reason.

I was adopted, and did 23 and me so I could learn more about my heritage (I had already been able to find my birth mother through private channels, but she hasn’t given me much info about my birth father).
