And I don’t even know what the higher ups do. Or how they got their job. I wish that one of them had to come and do my job for a week. Let them see how easy it is and then have to leave on time because you have another job because they don’t pay you enough to cover basic living expenses.

Hospitals are so understaffed it’s not funny. I was a social worker on a busy med/surg floor, doing discharge planning. I am organized and hard-working, and have enough adrenaline to get things done, but I seriously felt like I did the job of 1.5 people, and I would say half our staff also had heavy caseloads, however…
